Fashion Friday: Prom 2026
Seniors Ruby Kotok and Amalia Netter pose for a picture, feeling excited for the night ahead. Kotok took a risk while ordering her dress, as she was unsure if it would fit and was worried about the store’s return policy, but decided to go for it and make the purchase. Drawn in by the dress’s greenish-blue color and style, Kotok has no regrets. “I’m really happy with how everything came together,” Kotok said.
Seniors Leah Fagin and Sophie Moyal start prom-night with some photos with their out of school friend. Fagin ultimately chose her dress because it reminded her of a painting, which felt fitting because she enjoys art and being creative. Fagin is most excited about prom being at her synagogue. “Not many people know about [my synagogue], so it will be really cool to go back there with my friends,” Fagin said. “I’m looking forward to having a good time.”
Senior Cyrus Blumenthal kept his prom look simple, choosing a classic suit for the night alongside seniors Caden Mont, Dylan Kobrin and Micah Goldrich. While his outfit was subtle, Blumenthal was more focused on enjoying the experience. “I’m excited to spend time with some lifelong friends and make memories,” Blumenthal said.
Every year, all the senior girls line up in rainbow order for a picture, a tradition that senior Sadaf Zadeh has looked forward to throughout high school. “I love seeing my grade like this,” Zadeh said. “I think prom is one of those bonding experiences you remember forever.”
Juniors Judah Trauben and Yarden Wilkenfeld eagerly await their first prom. Although prom is only for seniors, juniors are allowed to go as a senior’s date. “I’m really excited for my first prom,” Trauben said. “I think it will be nice to have a preview for what next year’s prom will be like.”
Seniors Jennifer Kellner and Ami Epstein match each other’s vibes with their fun and festive prom looks. For Kellner, the best part about putting together her outfit for prom was choosing a color she has always loved. After spending time looking for the perfect dress, Kellner knew she wanted something that felt personal. “My favorite part of my dress is the color,” Kellner said. “Purple has been my favorite color since before I can remember.”
Seniors Vivi Ducker, Maya Greenblum and Maiya Blumenthal excitedly take pictures together. Ducker prepared her prom outfit well in advance, having purchased her sparkly gold prom dress from Oh Polly months ago. Unsure about ordering the dress online, Ducker found a location nearby to try it on. “My favorite part about [my dress] is that it’s really sparkly,” Ducker said. “I wanted prom to be a time where I could really pull out glitz and glam.”
Senior Simon Bard, wearing a suit fresh from Nordstrom, felt his outfit was elevated most by his simple white boutonnière that his date, senior Sophie Schwartz bought him. However, after the photos, Bard is most looking forward to the after-prom due to the wide variety of games and activities offered there. “I heard there is a ping pong table, which I think will be fun, and I get to hang out with my friends,” Bard said.
