Fashion Friday: Prom 2025

WILD DRESS HUNT
WILD DRESS HUNT

Seniors Jessica Rosenburg and Alana Udell excitedly prepare for a night filled with dancing and singing. Rosenberg went through an extraneous process to pick out her dress, going through many different stores and colors before deciding on her red dress from David’s Bridal. “As soon as the women pulled this dress out I knew it was the one,” Rosenberg said.

Seniors Shira Shapiro and Eli Gale avidly await the night ahead, having looked forward to this night for almost their entire high school careers. Shapiro was able to buy her dress for a mere $60 from Macy’s on Black Friday, embracing prom without the stressful process of finding a dress.

GOING BANANAS

Senior Yedidya Milner-Gillers sports a banana bow tie along with his tuxedo to complete his perfect prom look. He wanted to make this exciting night as special as it could be through his funny tie. “You gotta bring the Shtick to prom,” Milner-Gillers said. “I went on Amazon and had this bowtie the next day, I put it on with my tux and it looked perfect.”

Senior Cati Werbin and Junior Cyrus Blumenthal start the night off in a color-coordinated tuxedo and dress. It is a prom tradition for the boy’s bow tie and Boutonnière to match the girl’s dress, Werbin and Blumenthal were no exception.

Seniors Mia Endelman, Soleil Eschenlauer and Molly Wollner carry handbags to go along with each of their dresses. Their bags are meant to be a stylish accessory to their outfits while simultaneously serving the convenient purpose of carrying around their phones and other small items.

Senior Micah Brophy embarks on his prom night in a bright pink suit with a black fedora and tie to match. Brophy hand-selected his tie, which is embroidered with roses, to match his theme of pink and black. “I picked the tie out myself because it allowed me to wear my Fedora and black napkin,” Brophy said. “I just thought it was really beautiful.”

Juniors Cyrus Blumenthal, Daniel Jacobson, Micah Goldrich and Matty Stillman eagerly await their first time attending prom. While only seniors are allowed to attend prom, juniors are able to go if they have a senior date. “It’s nice to get a look into what prom is going to be like next year,” Goldrich said. “I’m really excited to get this experience that not a lot of juniors have.”
