Following Zman Kodesh the high school begins the day with an assembly featuring many competitions, including a multi-legged race with students in sacks and teachers on scooters. Hebrew teacher and Israel Engagement Coordinator Anat Kaufman raced down the gym on her scooter to the cheers of the high school, but ultimately lost to math teacher and high school Jewish life chair Robert Shorr. “I love every assembly that we have ruach,” Kaufman said. “But on Purim, it’s not Purim without ruach.”
