For a day, the wardrobe is costumes

On March 1, CESJDS students celebrated the Jewish holiday of Purim by coming dressed up to school. Throughout the day, they partook in four mitzvot associated with the holiday: giving food baskets to friends, listening to Megillat Esther, donating to charity and eating festive treats.
Sophomores Ayelet Fishman and Emily Cohen play KerPlunk with history teacher Carl Atwood. Fishman and Cohen dressed as aliens. “We saw that we could make this our own. A lot of costumes, there’s just like one way to do it, but there are many ways to do aliens and we were able to find our own way,” Cohen said.
