9/11 Commemoration includes flag lowering ceremony in honor of emergency responders

In order to commemorate the 9/11 terror attacks that took place sixteen years ago, students quietly assembled outside following Z’man Kodesh for the ceremonial lowering of the American flag. The program included a prayer, chanted by Jewish text teacher Rabbi Rosenbaum, and a moment of silence in honor of the victims.
Director of Jewish Life Stephanie Hoffman begins the commemoration with a brief introduction. She invites the on-campus police officer to lower the flag in honor of the first responders who risked their lives in the wake of the 9/11 attack.
