After spending time both building and decorating her sukkah, eighth-grade student Sophie Polon enjoys looking at all the decorations, especially a ceramic cowboy hat, which is her favorite. According to Polon, two fun facts about her sukkah are that the structure is decorated with a disproportionate amount of red pepper decorations and that one year her family assembled the sukkah almost entirely incorrectly but didn’t notice for a surprising amount of time. “The decorations are fun because they're passed down from my grandparents,” Polon said. “It's actually their old sukkah, so we use their special decorations that have been here for a while.”
