This week there are a good amount of movies hitting the theaters, however, two stand apart from the rest: Pan and Steve Jobs.

Pan:
Pan is billed as the prequel to the classic children’s film Peter Pan. Pan is about a young, orphaned boy who is whisked away to Neverland on a magical adventure guaranteed to change his life forever. While in Neverland he must embark on daring quests in order to save the people of Neverland. However they serve another meaningful purpose. They transform him into the character the world knows and loves him for, Peter Pan.

Noteworthy Stars: Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Levi Miller as Peter, Garrett Hedlund as Hook and it also includes Amanda Seyfried as Mary

Steve Jobs:
The movie Steve Jobs encompasses the life of, well, Steve Jobs. It follows through the ups and downs of the life of the man who made Apple into the business it is today. The movie follows through three different product launches and ultimately ends with the revealing of the original iMac.

Noteworthy Stars: Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman (original member of Apple) and Seth Rogan as Steve Wozniak

Other movies coming to theaters this week include: Big Stone Gap, The Final Girls, In My Father’s House and Victoria.

Big Stone Gap:
Small town girl, Ava Maria, runs a pharmacy store but after a mid-life crisis, she decides to shake things up and live a life of adventure.

Noteworthy Stars: Ashley Judd as Ava Maria, Patrick Wilson as Jack MacChesney and Whoopi Goldberg as Fleeta Mullins

The Final Girls:
A group of teenage girls gets transported into a horror film after they attended a slasher film.

Noteworthy Stars: Nina Dobrev as Vicki, Malin Ackerman as Amanda Cartwright and Taissa Farmiga as Max Cartwright

In My Father’s House:
Documents the life of Grammy award-winning rapper Rhymefest and his struggle to reconnect with his father.

Noteworthy Stars: Che “Rhymefest” Smith as himself

Victoria:
The movie, a single shot film, follows a group of friends who are forced to perform a bank robbery.
