Freshman Julia Diamond takes apart the nuts, bolts, wheels, pedals and other parts of a bike. Employees of the non-profit “Bikes for the World” helped students learn how to use various tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers to take off parts of these bikes that are most needed to help the bikes in Costa Rica and Rwanda function. “I loved taking apart the bikes,” Diamond said. “I think it was a puzzle, you had to find which bolts to undo and I really enjoy that.”
