Gordon waves goodbye to the Berman students section as the JDS crowd storms the court. “I just want to enjoy the moment with the fans and everyone,” Gordon said.

After making two clutch free throws with 14 seconds left, junior Jonah Gross dribbles out the clock, clinching a JDS win by seven. The win was JDS’s third straight against Berman, and sixth straight overall, giving them a record this season of 7-5.

Sophomore Itai Topolosky extends the Lions’ lead to eight on a contested three pointer with just over four minutes remaining. The shot sent the JDS crowd into a frenzy. Topolosky used to attend Berman, but came to JDS in elementary school. “I didn’t care that I went there before, I didn’t care that I knew anyone,” Topolosky said. “I came here to eat.”

Senior captain Eli Gordon makes a defender fall after a nice dribble move. The crowd watched the play in mouths agape in awe. “I’ve never crossed a kid up before,” Gordon said. “I was just like, damn.”

Junior Benjamin Bass fights for the tip off at the beginning of the game. Bass won the tip, giving JDS the ball to start the game.
