“If I had to choose I’d choose Hillary Clinton because I believe in the ideas that she stands for, I think that she is very experienced and is the most qualified for the position, and she is in the best position to follow through on her promises.” -Junior Abby Mintz

“I think [I support] Rubio, but I’m not 100 percent sure, because I’m Republican, but I’m not conservative. I think we need a president who can compromise so we can actually get stuff done, and that’s not Ted Cruz, and it’s not Donald Trump, but it is Rubio. Except [Rubio] is reversing his positions on a lot of things to be more electable, and that’s not really good, it’s really dishonest almost. I think Kasich though is a really great guy, he’s passionate, but he doesn’t have the foreign policies that are really needed right now. I would say overall I’m in favor of Rubio.” -Eighth-grader Matthew Wieseltier

“I support Bernie Sanders because I feel that he is bringing legitimate change to our political world … I really like that he has had the same agenda for the last 20 or 30 years even and especially when it could hurt his candidacy, he stood by gay rights, he stood by women’s rights at all times even when it was not for his benefit and that’s why I feel like he is the most trustworthy candidate of them all.”                         -Junior Joey Rushfield

“I am supporting Marco Rubio, I think that he is the most electable as the Republican nominee and has the best chance of beating Hillary Clinton … He is really likable by all people and he can appeal to a lot of different groups of people. I really like his policies on immigration, and his supporting of legal immigration … I also think he will be a really good president for Israel because of his foreign policy ideas … I think he will do great things for America.”                       -Sophomore Lena Lerner

“I am supporting Marco Rubio, and I support him because I think he is a really great candidate for unifying a vast group of people. He is a true conservative and has a lot of conservative values, so he can appeal to the conservative based Republican Party, but he can also appeal to more moderate factions of the Republican Party with a lot of his views that are on more of the middle of the line, which I do appreciate. At the same time, I think he has a lot of qualities, like his immigrant background, and the way he grew up and what he’s done in the Senate that can appeal to Democrats as well.”                                    -Junior Jared Bauman

“I support Hillary Clinton because it would be nice to actually have a woman president, because we have taken the step in having an African American president but now we can go further with having a woman president.” -Freshman Rebecca Klayman

“I would support the Democratic Party, I don’t really have a preference to who it is, probably Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton because they have the better chance of beating a Republican nominee. I agree with their views on various subjects and I disagree with the Republican views so I’d rather see one of them [win].”                -Freshman Ilan Gasko

“I’m for Trump because he’s the least worst option for a candidate. It’s not so much that I’m for his policies, it’s that I really dislike the Democratic candidates and the rest of the Republican candidates. It’s really not Trump that I like. He’s just not as horribly bad as the other candidates.” -Junior RJ Firestone
